Abstract:
Traffic node management - basic concepts, SSZ design criteria, SSZ production project, dynamic SSZ management, public transport preferences, traffic area management, microscopic traffic models, macroscopic traffic models, traffic management on motorways, tunnel systems.
Objectives:
Student is familiar with the standards and technical conditions for the design of traffic junction control, including capacity calculations, is able to design SSZ control using fixed signal plans at selected intersections, is able to further assess the design, verify capacity and simulate in a microsimulation environment.
