Abstract:
• Rail transport systems – their parameters, advantages and disadvantages, optimal use. • Operational aspects of individual rail transport systems, basic parameters of rail vehicles and their infrastructure background. • Individual rail transport systems interfaces and compatibility among them (dual rail systems). • High-speed railway transport – possible approaches, solutions, parameters, examples from the world. • Increase of rail systems attractiveness and profitability conditions of the particular rail transport systems, basic principles of economic evaluation. • Geometrical parameters of railway track – modern elements, various shapes of transition curves and cant transitions, their parameters, advantages and disadvantages. • Geometrical parameters of railway track – derivation of non-linear transition curves and cant transitions parameters, determination of their lengths; derivation of vertical curve. • Selection of optimal variant of rail transport problem solution – available tools (risks and multi-criterial analysis, systems analysis tools, operation research tools). • Selection of optimal variant of rail transport problem solution – applications examples. • Transit transport terminals of passenger transport – tools for their optimal shape and disposition. • Passengers movement modelling in transit transport terminals. • Intermodal freight transport with the use of rail transport– technical and operation solutions. • Transport potential in passenger and freight transport – available statistical data, transportation survey, transportation prediction. • Interoperability in railway transport in Europe, railway lines categories according to the Czech law and their impact to railway systems operation and development.
