Doctoral Study Income

Effective as of 1 September 2025, an amendment to the Higher Education Act introduced the Doctoral Study Income (DoStuP)

The Doctoral Study Income consists of a doctoral scholarship, a wage/salary for creative activity related to the preparation of the dissertation, or a combination of both. Its guaranteed amount is 1.2 times the minimum wage.

All students who commenced their studies as of 1 October 2025 may apply for the guaranteed doctoral income, provided they are enrolled full time within the standard period of study. An application to be granted the Doctoral Study Income can be submitted using the form (link).

If they do not apply for the Doctoral Study Income, the conditions laid down in the currently valid Scholarship Regulations of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) and Rector's Directive No. 7/2025 apply; in accordance with these, the entitlement component of the doctoral scholarship is set at CZK 12,000 per month.
